Green Bay, WI (June 13, 2016) - Nsight Telservices is proud to announce its recipients of the 2016 Wisconsin State Telecommunications Foundation scholarship. Winners include Liza Leja (Oconto Falls High School), Ally Magnin (Oconto Falls High School), Cassandra Dumke (Florence High School), Alyssa Plemel (Niagara High School), Timothy Prestby (Pulaski High School), and Elena Garcia (Two Rivers High School).
A total of 33 high school students in the state received this award. Nsight Telservices selected each of the local students for the $1500 scholarship.
Nsight Telservices was also pleased to select Graham Welch to receive a $500 scholarship. He was one of seven students in the state receive this award.
The Foundation is part of the Wisconsin State Telecommunications Association (WSTA), which is a trade organization representing 70 telephone companies and cooperatives in Wisconsin. In addition to the 40 scholarships for graduating high school students, the foundation awarded five $750 scholarships to second-year students enrolled in Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College’s two-year telecommunications program.
Selections are based on financial need, desire to continue education and demonstrated ability. Since 1966, the Foundation has awarded more than $1.4 million to 1,180 students.
