Green Bay, WI (June 14, 2016) – Cellcom has selected 16 graduating high school seniors from across its service area to receive $750 scholarships.
The winners are: Kayla Buss (Lincoln High School), Tyler Nelson (St. Mary Catholic High School), Samuel Jasmer (Bay Port High School), Nicole Batterman (Wausau West High School), Danielle Bossler (Oostburg High School), Arianna Vorpahl (Sheboygan South High School), Amber Trilling (Appleton North High School), Alexander Prust (Gibraltar High School), Emma Dramm (Roncalli High School), Arabella Schmitt (Wausau East High School), Marissa Hartman (Antigo High School), Areonna Schreiber (Antigo High School), Elija Eisfeldt (Neillsville High School), Adam Bartz (Shawano Community High School), Jennifer Kinjerski (Green Bay Preble High School) and Sawyer Koch (Oconto High School).
“Our scholarship application emphasizes community involvement, which is a core value of our business. Each of our recipients has gone above and beyond in his or her community to make a difference. We are honored to applaud the efforts of these exceptional students and support their continuing education,” said Brighid Riordan, director of public affairs at Cellcom.
In addition to community involvement, recipients were selected on the basis of academic record, potential to succeed, leadership and participation in school activities, honors, work experience and an essay on community impact.
Applicants were also required to reside within a county in Wisconsin or Michigan where Cellcom operates and be planning to enroll in a full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university or technical school.
