St. Vincent de Paul of Marshfield Receives $1000 from Cellcom and CoBank through Sharing Success Program
Marshfield, WI (November 25, 2016)– St. Vincent de Paul of Marshfield has received a $1,000 donation from Cellcom and CoBank, a cooperative bank serving vital industries throughout rural America.
St. Vincent de Paul of Marshfield provides support for people in-need through its thrift store and outreach center. The donation from Cellcom and CoBank through the Sharing Success program will go toward stocking the food pantry this winter season.
Cellcom has been honored to help stock the shelves at the St. Vincent de Paul pantry for many years. As a longtime customer of CoBank, the company was proud to use its matching gift program to expand the reach of its community effort and help bring more to the pantry during the holiday season.
Sharing Success was established in 2012 to celebrate the International Year of the Cooperative. The response from the bank’s customers was overwhelmingly positive and the bank has renewed the program each year since. Since the program’s inception, CoBank and its customers have together provided nearly $20 million in support to charitable organizations across the nation.
“Sharing Success has become one of the cornerstones of CoBank’s multifaceted corporate giving program,” said Robert B. Engel, CoBank’s chief executive officer. “It leverages the passion, expertise and local knowledge of our customers to identify and support the causes and programs that best address the unique needs of rural communities. We’re delighted our board has generously re-authorized this program and proud to partner with Cellcom on this important initiative.”
